Looking for the BEST Super Bowl Chicken Wings Recipe, Buffalo Chicken Dip and Chili Recipes for the 2012 Super Bowl Party Sunday, February 5th? Whether you're rooting for the New England Patriots or the New York Giants (my bet is on the NE Patriots -- Go Pats), you're going to need lots of food.
Most die-hard Super Bowl fans want snacks, chips, dips and for some reason, Buffalo Chicken recipes. Here's some of my Super Bowl favorite foods. What are you eating at your Super Bowl Party?
Vegetarian Chili Recipe
- 2 cups chunky TVP
- 2 cups boiling water or a mixture of 1 cup water and 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large pepper, chopped
- 1 small chili pepper, minced
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 2 quarts stewed tomatoes
- 4 cups kidney or black beans, cooked and drained
- 2 cups whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 teaspoon hickory smoke flavor, optional
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Directions: How To make Vegetarian Chili
- Reconstitute the TVP with boiling water or a mix of water and BBQ sauce, or any other liquid you desire as long as you have at least 1 cup of water. Let sit for 15 minutes until all liquid is soaked up by the TVP.
- Meanwhile, in a large sauce pan, saute onion, pepper and garlic in olive oil until they are tender but not overdone. Add chili powder, cumin, sea salt and ground pepper.
- Add stewed tomatoes and TVP and simmer for 15-20 minutes until hot
- Finally, add beans and corn and hickory smoke if desired. Heat through until just ready to boil. Turn off heat
- Serves 10 or more
Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe
- 2 - 1/2 cups shredded or diced cooked chicken breast
- 8 oz. pkg. onion flavored cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
- 3/4 cup shredded cheese, your choice
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Grease a medium sized casserole dish.
- Mix cream cheese, salad dressing, hot sauce and 1/2 cup cheese right in the baking dish. Fold in chicken. Smooth top and sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup shredded cheese.
- Bake 20 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbly. Garnish with scallions. Serve with crackers, chips or veggies.

Frank's Red Hot Chicken Wings
And finally, here's a link to Frank's Red Hot Chicken Wings recipe. You really can't do any better than the real thing, and this recipe is from none other than Frank's official website. Some people have tried to improve upon this recipe over the years, and some have come real close without cutting and pasting the recipe (which is bad form). The only other ingredient that you could add to the hot sauce before tossing the wings in, is between 1/4 and 1/2 cup of melted butter. Try them both ways and see what you think. Good, aren't they?
