Tuesdays With Dorie: Allspice Crumb Muffins
Sweet muffins studded with chucks of apples, spiced with allspice and a brown sugar streusel topping. I made these muffins a few times over the past year and a half, and each time I add something different to them. This time it was chopped walnuts. Thanks to Kayte of Grandma’s Kitchen Table for this recipe. She's got the recipe over there, and it's quite good! It's been quite a while since I participated in a Tuesdays With Dorie day, so these were the perfect fall treat to get me motivated again. The cooler weather is back, and I feel like baking once more. It's been a long hot summer on the boat, and there's nothing worse than not wanting to bake. I've missed all the baked goods. John has missed all the goodies. The guys on the dock have missed all the goodies.
I haven't been slacking off though. I've been busy with Examiner and Suite101. I also have 2 new writing gigs that I started in the last month. Yeah, I know, what was I thinking??? So, you'll likely see new articles and recipes in the side bars as soon as I can reorganize them. Thanks for waiting.....
Welcome back Donna!! The muffins look amazing. Wish I could have one now with my coffee.
I miss Tuesdays with Dorie...
