Dessert Recipes for Memorial Day!
It's Friday, the holiday weekend is upon us, do you have your Memorial Day Dessert menu ready? Since Memorial Day is the traditional kick-off to summer, most people think of strawberry desserts. I know I do, but I also think about chocolate! OK, so I always think about chocolate! Doesn't everyone?
Whether you're having a cookout, going on a picnic, going on a cruise around the bay, or you've been invited to a potluck outing, I'm sure you'll find something in this list that will knock your socks off and make you the hit of the party! I've put together a list of desserts that I think should be on every Memorial Day menu. Whatever you choose, have a blast this holiday weekend!
HOLIDAY DESSERTS
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Nutella Chocolate Fudge Brownies
Bacon Brownies - Don't knock 'em till you try 'em!
Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
And if desserts aren't your bag, why not try some of these salads or dips!
Tri-Color Easy Coleslaw Recipe
These recipes all look delicious! Just checked them out and commented over at the Examiner. Donna, I don't know how you do it, but you always have the best recipes lined up for us :)

I tripped across your interview with Dawn Viola (great read!), popped over here for more, and smacked hunger first into your scrumptious strawberry tart.
This is turning out to be a delicious day.
Cheers!

Donna,
I made your French Silk Pie and had a problem I'm hoping you can help me solve. Your directions call for white sugar,to me that means granulated sugar. My son was making the pie and could not get the sugar butter mix to lose it's grittiness so we tried it again same result. So, he suggested that we try powdered sugar which we did and it came out fine (we looked up the equivilent) I saved the 2 failures and have tried heating it up to smooth it out (I tried a small amount) Do you think something was wrong with my sugar? And secondly can you think of a way to use the chocolate sugar mixture?thanks, ellen
