I love KA Flour, I'm sad that they wont be selling it at Trader Joe's anymore :(
I use the regular AP and the White Whole Wheat on a regular basis and have also used the Guinevere Cake flour which is by far my favorite and gives the best crumb but can't always afford the extra cost to get it shipped here.

I have never used KA Flour, but would like ot find it and try! What a great giveaway!
Posted by: Natalie | March 16, 2009 at 01:15 PM
I am in love with KA flour. We are now living in a campground and where we are I am unable to find the flour. I have been making bread in my bread machine for the pot lucks and everyone raves over my bread. I am now out of the flour and am afraid that my popularity of a bread baker will stop. It is the absolute best flour for bread. I would adore the cookbook. This is something that would be of use in our camper.

I LOVE King Arthur everything! I have ordered from their catalogue for a long time but was fortunate enough to get to their store last summer for the first time. What a blast! I can not say enough good things about the products and the people that own/work the store. Awesome all around! Thanks for the chance to win this cookbook. I think it is the only one I do not own.

I have never had the opportunity to try King Arthur wheat flour, but would love to give it a try. Thanks for a chance in your drawing.

I have not used King Arthur flour, but I am willing to give it a shot. I am going to one of their baking demonstrations this Friday, so I look forward to finding out more about them. Thanks for the opportunity.

I've never tried King Arthur flour before. I'm not sure that I've ever seen it in our local grocery stores. It does look very interesting and the food from the cookbook looks very good.

I love, love, love King Arthurs flours and catalouge. I have purchased flour, baking supplies, pans, equipment for the site. And their blog is chock full of great recipes. My most recent endeavor was their Marble Rye recipe. Flawless!
Posted by: courtney | March 16, 2009 at 02:25 PM
I love King Arthur's wheat white flour! It bakes up even better than all-purpose, tastes nuttier, and is healthier for you! If it weren't so expensive, I would use it in every recipe.
Posted by: Margaret | March 16, 2009 at 02:46 PM
Love KAF. I've gotten and used their unbleached all purpose and the whole wheat flour. I just recently picked up a small bag of the white whole wheat that I'm anxious to try. And let's talk about the Cookie Companion. My favorite cookie cookbook (of which I have about 20 all told). I've used it sooo much. The On the Fence brownies are absolutely my favorite brownie I've ever made. And I check their blog pretty much every day.
Would really love to get this new book. Pick me, pick me...

King Arthur flour is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! There is just no comparison between it and other flour.
Posted by: Brenda | March 16, 2009 at 03:19 PM
I have this cookbook on my wishlist. My all-purpose, bread, and white whole wheat flours are all King Arthur. It's the only brand I will use. Love it.

I have never baked with this flour and will be adding it to my shopping list - What a great giveaway!!!

Love King Arthur flour? We use nothing BUT KA flour!
I have actually found that the recipes I use just don't come out as well when I am reduced to using something other than KA. No lies. They tell me it is because KA has better protein content. I don't know for sure but I know Gram's sugar cookies are far more tender and have a much "fuller" flavor when I use KA as opposed to any other flour. Also, the KA No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread recipe, which calls for KS White Whole Wheat Flour (very handy when you are trying to sneak more fiber, et al into recipes!), just plain and simply isn't as good with any other brand.
I don't know what kind of fairy dust they use but it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! If you are a LA virgin, get theeself to the market and try it out.

Is there a 12 step program for King Arthur Flour addicts? I will only use their unbleached AP flour, and am glad to live in a part of the country where it can be found in pretty much every supermarket. And I order from their catalog maybe a bit more than I should...but I know if it's in there, it's a great product. As Consumer Reports is to my husband, so the Baker's Catalog is to me!

I have never tried King Arthur's flour, but have heard so many good things about it. I hope I will this cook book. I love cookbooks!

I've never heard of KA flour before, but I've been on a bread-baking kick lately and would love to try it. I like to experiment with different flours.

I've tried KA's whole wheat flour and it's great! I've also borrowed this very same book from the library and loved it too. Alas, it had to be returned. I would love to be able to win this so that I wouldn't have to keep re-borrowing the book.

After recently coming back to the US, I have gotten to "play" with a few kinds of KA flour...all-purpose, white whole wheat & bread flour. So different than the standard low-protein white flour I can find in Peru. I am looking forward to trying more KA flour types and am looking forward to winning this cookbook since it is one on my list to get after returning. Perfect giveaway!

I use KA flour all the time. I love it. It's the only flour I use in my house! Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh yes, I've used King Arthur Flour...this is their recipe I used from their website:

And I used their WW Flour for my soda bread as well here:

I've never heard of King Arthur Flour; this would be the perfect chance for me to not only try it, but have their recipes, too. I'm actually entering for Jack, since he is the master chef in our family! I can tell you one thing I will definitely make with King Arthur Flour...DOG COOKIES!! They are my specialty. (Did I tell you before that I don't cook for people, but I'm more than willing to cook and bake for our furry friends? It's too true!) I really would love to win this for them!
Posted by: betty | March 16, 2009 at 07:29 PM
omgosh! that is SO cool! my mom has always used other brands, ever since i was little... i hadn't even heard about king arthur before i started blogging! i was at the store the other day, with my mom, and i pointed out the king arthur brand.
"those are supposedly the best flours to use," i said.
my mom just looked at me and shrugged.
she's gotta try it to believe it :)

In the past, I could NOT make biscuits from scratch to save my life! That is, until my father-in-law brought me some of his King Arthur flour. WOW! My biscuits are not only edible now but light and fluffy and absolutely perfect!!! Really, no lie!!! Totally true story!
Thanks SO much...I love King Arthur flours!!

I've never had an opportunity to use KA - it hasn't been in any of the stores around here. And I'm jealous! So many friends that live elsewhere have absolutely raved about the great quality and fantastic results that I know I'm missing out....

To be honest, I have never tried King Arthur Flour. I have seen it for sale, but I tend to go with names I know. I really should give it a try.

This looks like an AWESOME cookbook. I am a cookbook junkie, so this would be a great addition. I use King Arthur's Whole Wheat Flour for my breads all the time, and really like it.
Posted by: Cindy | March 16, 2009 at 10:27 PM
King Arthur Flour is the only flour I use! If a store doesn't have it, I wait, then go somewhere that does. It's the best quality flour out there!
And don't get me started on the White Whole Wheat Flour! I use it in everything, and my kids love it, too. My only gripe is that most stores don't carry it, and when asked, don't even know what it is! They look at me like I have a screw loose, lol!
I have been drooling over this book for a long time and would be thrilled to win it. :)

King Arthur is my favorite brand of flour. I usually buy the regular whole wheat flour and use it to make healthy versions of traditionally non-healthy creations. Two of my favorites are nonfat whole wheat crepes and butterless whole wheat scones! But my new favorite is to make WW Beer Bread:
http://www.peanutbutterboy.com/whole-grain-beer-bread
It's so easy and delicious that I don't even bother with other breads anymore!

I love King Arthur flour. I even have a 5 pound bag of it right now--but can never have enough, so I would love that AND would really love the cookbook. I have been baking with whole wheat flour a lot lately--with great results!

I don't believe we have King Arthur flour in this part of the country, but I love to bake with whole wheat flour. What a treat if I would get the opportunity to try theirs. I don't own any whole grain baking books, so that would be a double treat.

Although I know I am not eligible for this give-a-away, I still wanted to add a comment.
Unfortunately King Arthur's flour is not available in Quebec, but I did buy this book from King Arthur's Web site. I made a few recipes from this book and they turned out great!

We love King Arthur flour too! I have a testimonial from just this week...I was baking bread and scooped up the last bit of another brand's unbleached all-purpose flour from my canister into my not-quite full cup measure. I opened a brand new bag of King Arthur flour (which I bought for the first time on the recommendation of a friend) and I couldn't believe my eyes! The unbleached AP flour from the other brand was whitish and powdery, but the King Arthur unbleached AP flour was nice and brown and just looked to be such better quality. It tastes better too! I also bought 100% whole wheat flour and use it in my bread with the unbleached AP. Short of milling it myself (I don't have a mill yet!), it is the very best flour I have ever used.
Thanks King Arthur!
P.S. For those who miss it at Trader Joe's, I found it at my local Meijer store.
