I have two cookbooks in my collection - one from Food & Wine and the other one is one that I got at Costco (can't recall the name at the moment). I would LOVE a cookbook that focuses on sweets! Even if I don't make anything from it, at least I can look at the pretty photos! Hehe.

I have at least 15 cookbooks! I always read them like I have never seen them before. I love my What Can I Bring? Cookbook by Ann Byrn. It suits my potluck lifestyle!

Oh man, in my full collection? Probably about 50-60. I'm sure that's minimal compared to others. Although, I have a ton of books that I'd love to invest in. Right now, my favorite book is Baked. I have yet to make a recipe from the book that I didn't love! This dessert recipe book sounds fabulous! Who doesn't love a quick and wonderfuld dessert?!

I'm a cookbook junkie. In addition to buying cookbooks, I work at the library and I get to check out all the new ones that come out. I guess I have close to 100 cookbooks. My favorite would be an old one that my grandmother's church published. You have to love those old family recipes!
Posted by: Sharon | March 20, 2009 at 06:31 AM
I have about 25 cookbooks in my collection. My favorite is a tattered copy of Betty Crocker's Cookbook that my mother used and then gave to me.....a lot of sentimental value in this book! Thanks for offering the giveaway! Enjoy visiting your blog!

I am almost embarassed to answer this question as I didn't realize how many cookboks I actually had. We are moving and I have had to get my stuff packed up and I had 2 whole bookcases of cookbooks. I bet if I had to guess there are 200 or more of them. I love, love, love cookbooks and will lay in bed at night reading them just like a novel. One can never have too many of them!! This one looks like a keeper.
Posted by: Cheryl Sims | March 20, 2009 at 08:27 AM
My fave cookbook is actually a magazine "Cusine Tonight, Grilling" but I have probably about 100 cookbooks in my collection. Not many for desserts though.
Posted by: Sue Strybosch | March 20, 2009 at 09:02 AM
I'm guessing that I have about 40 cookbooks, most of which I never even look at! Maybe I should donate them to a high school. My go-to cookbook is Better Homes and Gardens classic. I use it a lot for basic information - like meat temperatures, since I can never remember them! I also really like my Martha Stewart Food cookbook (based on the magazine) - good recipes with simple ingredients. Thanks for this giveaway!

This book looks right up my alley for all the quick snacks I bring to my son's preschool! I have about 50 cookbooks and of my oh, 10 or so favorites that are baking books, Dorie's Baking From My Home to Yours is probably my favorite right now.
Posted by: Katrina | March 20, 2009 at 09:06 AM
I absolutely love anything Taunton publishes, so I am sure this is a winner as well. I am guessing I have close to 200 cookbooks, choosing a favorite would be hard since it depends on what I am trying to cook. However, I suppose if I had to whittle down to just one, it'd probably be my good 'ole trusty red BHG cookbook.
Posted by: Carla | March 20, 2009 at 09:28 AM
I would guess that I have about 50 cookbooks or more. My favorite book is probably my oldest one...Betty Crocker.

Nice giveaway :)
I have about 158 cookbooks. Love them all, but my fave right now is the KA Whole Grain Baking Book.
Posted by: RecipeGirl | March 20, 2009 at 09:36 AM
I use to have about 50 cookbooks, but had to pare it down when we moved 4 years ago. I now have about 10 cookbooks and the one I use the most is my trusty ole Better Homes & Gardens cookbook that I got for my wedding 24 years ago! Although, some of my most favorite recipes come from a cookbook my mother put together with recipes from the entire family. I don't have a dessert book, so this would be fan-tas-tic to win!!!
Posted by: Paula | March 20, 2009 at 09:49 AM
I have about 40 cookbooks in my kitchen but I have 4 that I use all the time. My favorite is one that was completed at our church about 20 years ago that has all the splatter of "red velvet cake" on it - this was my grandmother's recipe that I put in there. My other three favorites were published by the local phone company and I love them!!
Posted by: Melinda Wilson | March 20, 2009 at 10:50 AM
Wow, good question... probably around 50. Half of which I never use! My favourite is Sugar by Anna Olson (& its sequal, Another Cup of Sugar). I love desserts. :-)

I'd say I have about 20, and use about 4 regularly.

I have 70 cookbooks, and about 20 folders with printed recipes from the internet. I LOVE cookbooks, can never have enough of them!!!

I have five in total, all inherited from my sister-in-law's kitchen. I'd love to have a dessert one, though! : )

I have seven cookbooks plus a "fill-it-in" book for shared recipes! My fav is Vegetarian Planet by DiDi Emmons. I've used it tons!!!! Don't have any good dessert cookbooks though ...

I have 30 cookbooks in my collection, amazingly all but one have been bought in the last year or so (I've only been cooking/baking for a year or so).
Gosh--it's hard to pick one. I'll have to say Veganomicon. Every recipe I've made is wonderful and full of flavor. It has everything from appetizers to desserts--all vegan, of course.

I have 10 cookbooks in my collection right now..
My favorite one right now...is "500 Cupcakes" I love my cuppie cakes!
Posted by: Beth | March 20, 2009 at 02:55 PM
I have more than 50, but less than 75 (I think)... and probably 4 or 5 bound notebooks and looseleaf binders with recipes ideas from internet, magazines, etc.
While I do find myself going back to my old standards often (New Best Recipes, Joy of Cooking, Better Homes & Gardens), I also will remember seeing an interesting recipe in a cookbook somewhere, and will take the time to go through a number of books until I find what I was looking for.... and even then, I don't usually follow the "searched for" recipe to the T, but work from it as a guide.
Recently I've been focusing on desserts, using "Confetti Cakes" and "From My House To Yours" the most.

I have 50 some cookbooks plus cooking magazines and a couple notebooks I have put together. I love cookbooks!! My current faves are Baked: New Frontiers in Baking and The Perfect Scoop.
I try to hide it from my sweetie when I buy a new cookbook. Does that mean I have a problem?

I have 30 or so cookbooks, and I have a list or more that I want, although I'm not sure where I'd put them!
Posted by: Amy | March 20, 2009 at 07:16 PM
I have a lot of cookbooks including the first one that my mother had. The only type of cookbook that I do not have is a dessert one. This one would complete my set (although you can never complete a set of cookbooks).
Posted by: Vivian Deliz | March 20, 2009 at 10:09 PM
I would have to say that I have about 30 cookbooks. I gave lots away during a recent move to the local library. No room to keep them all. :( My go to cookbook is a cookbook my mother used called Jim Lloyds cookbook.
Posted by: Lori | March 20, 2009 at 10:48 PM
I probably have 100 - 150 cookbooks. I inherited my addition from my mom! My favorite is a 3 ring binder my mom made when I moved out on my own, that has all the family favorites. I use it every holiday!
Posted by: Kristin O | March 20, 2009 at 11:31 PM
I probably have well over 250 cookbooks in my collection much to my husband's dismay. We're military and every time we move there are boxes and boxes of nothing but my cookbooks. I love them and read them like novels
My very favorite book is one our church created for a Relay for Life fundraiser. It is full of recipes I grew up on and it made money for a great cause. I also love Rachael Ray's 365 and I've been baking a lot lately from The Modern Baker by Nick Malgieri
Posted by: Michelle | March 21, 2009 at 10:04 AM
I have probably about 10. The cookbook I would never give away is my Cooking Light cookbook.
Posted by: Tiffany S. | March 21, 2009 at 03:09 PM
Probably only 40 to 50; and a couple of binders of loose sheets of recipes I printed off magazine's websites.
Posted by: Weeze | March 21, 2009 at 03:26 PM
well Wonder Hub & I have about 40 together.
I would never part with a chocolate stained, butter daubed copy of Accent on Albion. It's the small town I grew up in and the two churches got together in the early 70's and built the cookbook as a fundraiser.
Posted by: knuckstermom | March 21, 2009 at 08:12 PM
I love cookbooks and have about 70. The ones I seem to go to the most are the old church ones. This dessert one looks wonderful!
Posted by: Pam Shank | March 21, 2009 at 08:49 PM
I probably have about 50 cookbooks in my collection. My absolute favorite (right now) is the California Heritage Cookbook by the Junior League of Pasadena. It has the most wonderful carrot cake recipe in the world!

Hi, ty for the chance to win something (tho I never do). I must have at least 45 cookbooks..as well as 4 huge boxes of recipes from others, the internet, etc. My old stand by is Joy of Cooking, but I do love most Martha Stewart recipes I have tried and her cookbooks. I do not have many books concering dessert, but would certainly like to try this one..Ty for the chance. Cher

I have some many cookbooks...I am a cookbook junkie. My favorite one is the better homes New Baking Book. I love to bake.
Posted by: jen | March 22, 2009 at 02:41 PM
I have 300 or more. My favorites are Nigella Lawson and Ina Garten - and if I had to run out with one? Nigella's Christmas cookbook I guess. Such a hard decision.
Posted by: Jenny | March 22, 2009 at 05:47 PM
Well over 100 cookbooks, mostly in baking....my most used in the last 30 years is Fannie Farmer Baking Book.
Posted by: Suzy | March 22, 2009 at 11:24 PM
I have about 40-50 cookbooks in my collection. Some have never been cracked open, many have at least been tested, but a few are tried and true in my kitchen. My favorite is a small hometown cookbook I got from my mother-in-law before I even married my husband. It was from the Decatur, Alabama Newcomer's Club. She went through it and marked some of my husband's favorite dishes so I could make them for him. I still use it today, and we've been married for 11 years!

I have at least 200 cookbooks - and I keep buying more! I love reading them. Lately I have been baking from Dorie Greenspan's baking book, Baking: From My Home to Yours, but my ear-marked, choclate/coffee stained baking book is a Passion for Baking by Marcy Goldman.

Hi there. I've been lurking around your site for a while now (your recipes are so tasty), and just barely got the courage up to post.
I'm a lowly college student who mostly subsists on ramen noodles (for real) so I only have maybe 10 cookbooks to my name. Most are either pastry or soup centric. My current favorite is the essential "Soup Bible".
Posted by: Jessica | March 24, 2009 at 10:12 AM
I have around 100 cookbooks. My favorite for years was my make-a-mix when I was raising my family. We are "new" empty nesters and I haven't found a real favorite for just the two of us yet. I don't have a real quick, easy dessert cookbook - this one would fit the bill. I'd love to win it.

I have an addiction to cookbooks. I buy way more than I actually use. I think it's the possibility of making all that great food that lures me in. I'd guess I have between 35-40.

I think I have about a dozen cookbooks or so. My favorite is actually the one I created myself using printed recipes from Weight Watchers, ideas I tore out of magazines, and great dishes I printed from blogs! All my favorites are in there and we use it all the time!
Posted by: Jingle | March 24, 2009 at 02:02 PM
I have 12 cookbooks. My favorite has recently been lost. It was a bread recipe book by Mirriam B. Loo (of Current Stationery fame). It had some of the best recipes I ever used, including some great brunch and dessert style coffee cakes (always show stoppers.)
My husband has about another dozen - mostly dealing with roasting and grilling and other manly things.
